Learning To Learn: The Codes To Re-programming The Mind
The first step to learning is the ability to relate. The next is to make it relevant. When one is able to associate and apply, the meaning becomes applicable and practical. To make it part of yourself is the fundamental stage of learning. Realization comes in 3 forms —
[1] turn it into an effect such as a product or something new or different, such as a tool or toy,
[2] derive a principle and lesson that points to another pursuit,
[3] form and become part of the system, it will form a cultivation of regimen or even evolve a culturation of group regimentation.
The 3rd is the highest stage as it will comprise the other 2.
Learning should subsume acquiring faculties, methods and means, aside merely acquiring facts. Faculties pertains to our ability to conduct certain cerebration or physical execution at the subconscious or semi-conscious level. It is our sense to associate notions and ensure recall, to form synthesis and desynthesis, to deduce and induce with complete, sufficient and necessary warrants. It pertains to our mnemonic, logic, and creativity. It is our sense. It is to condition the brain’s ability to adapt and learn. Methods and means are our learnt and evolved paradigms, our frameworks, principles and guidelines. They are used at the conscious level of our ability. It is our guided sensibility.
