Crafting The Craftsman

My father added Greek ideals into our home schooling. He stated that we have to be a complete Anthropos (Greek for `man`), hence, he carefully crafted the curriculum. In the system, he stated 3 stages:

The 1st stage is to be taught the fundamentals.
The 2nd stage is to learn to question (even the fundamentals) and do the advanced topics ourselves and experiment the different approach, and especially to know how to use what we learn.
The 3rd stage is to invent our own system beyond what was taught. (My grandfather said that it could be the reason why people from our culture are inventing all the time.)
