We will revisit the past and we will find many things that don’t make sense to us anymore; and we build our understanding on the past and it is falling apart for us. We will not be able to hold the sense of it together. It would be worse for people who cherish them deeply.
The most valuable and meaningful experiences are not necessarily the ones we desire, but the ones that actually transformed our very sense of what we desire which will mitigate or ameliorate us from any forms of both shared and personal pain, sorrow or suffering, if not to free us from it.

People ask me, “Do you believe in God?” My question is “Are you asking because you care, or because you fear that my views are invalidating yours?” If it is because you care, I can confess that I wish I did, but I do not have enough knowledge.
