STF2: The Fame Game — ‘Shoot The Famous, Shot To Fame’

The social slogans spring and flash across the internet in late spring. A social meme becoming a social movement to dare the tired society into a campaign to “Make Mass Shooting Safe Again.” At first, everyone assumed it was satire — a cynical art collective or an algorithmic protest. Then came the calendar — 365 empty squares, uploaded anonymously to every platform that would take it.

The rule is simple — having a competition biding on the price crowd amassed and paid in bitcoins on who can shoot the biggest billionaire, actor or politician. The contract was decentralized machine processed to rally on the impact made. A strong cultish note was exhorting the shooters not to die in disgrace by shooting the innocent, but to the cause of `STF2 martyrdom` instead. If another person eliminates a more prominent person, the day of commemoration and the name of fame gets replaced. Each square bore a timestamp and a single phrase: “While slots last.”

No one thought it could be serious or even mean anything. For a week the calendar sat there, quiet. Then the first square filled itself with a blurred name. A week later, another. Every newsroom in the world carried the story — a targeted shoot out had occured. Viewers…
