Human will always be unhappy because they pursue persistent happiness and static well-being, that do not exist, and hence fall into untold disappointments. Whence what they should do to be happy is to find the meaning to face those disappointments and turn it to their advantage and strength.

The pursuit of happiness is not the pursuit of hope.

Would this ever-growth from that little hopeful joy keep your happiness going? Perhaps the base of hope and joy is more important, if we chase happiness, we may forget the source of our foundations. Perhaps we are all pursuing happiness which is unsustainable because we missed the base. Happiness, thence, the side effect or expression, unpursued, will ensue.

Happiness could be more well extracted from joy. While we are chasing the shadows, what we should seek is the foundation where joy springs from — virtues.

The race should never be against another mortal, but our own mortality.

Virtues are not merely important for our well-being and excellence, but it also set the basis of human hope and justice. With hope, one can hold any pain.

From ourselves and extending to the world, instead of constantly trying to balance justice, we should get to the root of human virtues and mutual happiness. Seek empathy from the base and justice will balance from there.
