The Dominic system which Dominic O’Brien, an 8 time World Memory Champion, Multiple Guinness World Record Holder, and Grandmaster of Mnemonics, invented had greatly influenced me over 30+ years. There were instances where I had memorized details, such as gathering data reconnaissance by sheer memory in a military exercise, and in social gatherings where I corralled up to 50 names in my mind, etc.

Over the years, I re-formulated his methods into a framework which is easily tailored to the individual in which they can fit the characters from their preference, experiences, likings and dislikings, and other bits of memories from their past to construct a personal look-up table of their own. I termed it as the ‘Centum Amici’ method (‘100 Friends method’, a.k.a. the O’Brien-Chan method). Effectively, this reformulation provides an ease for people to tailor their own characters into digit pairs 00 to 99.

My daughter is able to hold 30 numbers in her mind using this framework since she was 9. I also wrote some tutorials and started simple computer programs to assist her in gamifying the learning. Hence, I was hoping that this may be able to be known publicly.
