Chapter 2. Using Number Shape Method To Learn The Morse Code
We have introduced the Number Shape Method, let’s use it to learn the Morse Code system. The remembering list of objects is too easy, and we use this complex system as an illustration to observe how the mind reacts on controlling chaos.
Instead of a one peg-one item, we can peg an entire story containing a cluster of acronyms. Morse codes can be grouped into codes having different number of bits (dots-and-dashes) and designated mnemonic acronyms for them, and we chained them into a story for effective recall. Here is an example how we may do it:
Some rules to use the patter to create a formula for remembering:
Axiom 1. Always start with a dash (‘-’), then a dot (‘.’).
Axiom 2. The paired is inverse, e.g. ‘T’ (‘-’) with ‘E’ (‘.’).
Axiom 3. In the next bit category, add a dot (‘.’) first, e.g. ‘T’ (‘-’), N (‘-.’), D(‘-..’), B (‘-…’).
Axiom 4. There are instances of a 180° flip, e.g. D|W is a 180° flip of G|U, and Q|F is a 180° flip of Y|L.
