Enter The Dragon

I do not believe that I should not criticize Bruce Lee’s lack of completeness in his work under the fear that someone will render the same posthumous commentary about me. You see, it has to happen, and we have to be brutally honest of what is undone to address what should be done. Of course, many people can talk a lot, but in my culture at least, we question the honor and integrity of a person who brings the issue. You can pick a problem, but you have to be responsible for it — few people really dare. You ask for opinions, you get a lot. Now, you declare “let’s do something about it”, you hear complete silence or the most dramatic and flimsy sophististic excuses at best. I address the incompleteness of his work and acknowledge what he had done, but martial civilization has to progress. Being honest and sincere, having the passion and compassion for mankind and the will to act — is the true spirit of martial art. I believe Bruce Lee would agree with me, if he were alive today.

It sounds strange that from the start of this discussion, I have to admit, I did not like Bruce Lee for many reasons. He was seen as cocky in his strut and manners, despite how humble his words may seem. That is my perception…
