How do we get people to take that step? How do we get people not to say “No”, and gradually get them to a “Maybe, I will give it a try”?

It is common for individuals to feel uncomfortable or hesitant when faced with something unfamiliar. However, by employing certain strategies, it is possible to bridge this gap and help people relate to and extend their understanding of these new experiences.

By setting a sense of safety, establishing common familiarity, inducing curiosity, active listening, providing new perspectives, and fostering collaboration and togetherness, we can help people relate to and extend their understanding of previously uncomfortable topics, tasks, and products. By acknowledging their fears, addressing their concerns, and providing a supportive environment, we empower individuals to step outside their comfort zones, expand their horizons, and embrace new experiences. Through these efforts, we can promote growth, learning, and personal development in ourselves and others.

We explore a few key approaches that can be used to facilitate this process.
