The central principle of tooling is in enabling. Tools are the means to create functions to bridge the gaps and lacks. It is the means to bring deficiency to efficiency. It brings new sights (Observability (Analytics)) and new controls (Controllability).

The human changes their structure-function to work with the forms of the tools and entities around them, e.g. how the human holds the cup. They also work to adapt to them.

Usability (Ease Of Use)

Usability, the ease of use, is a foundational aspect of tooling that directly impacts user ergonomics and group productivity. It can be decisive to the overall success of a product. It examines how easily and efficiently users can interact with and leverage the functionalities of a tool. The litmus may be the ease of use for non-subject matter experts.

Guided instruction and documentation play pivotal roles in facilitating user understanding, efficient onboarding, and successful utilization of tools. These elements are essential components of the user support system, providing users with the guidance and resources needed to navigate and leverage a tool effectively.
